Community Character Protection

The Ad Hoc Committee on Community Character Protection was created in the fall of 2007, soon after the Columbia City Council introduced the Interim Measures regulations to protect historic neighborhoods from unguided demolition and infill development.  The Forest Hills Neighborhood Association recognizes the rights of individual property owners while seeking to protect the community and history of the neighborhood through guidelines.

The first posting and distribution of information to residents of Forest Hills took place on October 4, 2007.
